Jesus

You are my precious treasure
You are my great and mighty Saviour
You are worthy of my devotion
You are beyond reason
You are completely sovereign
You are infallible
You are brilliant
You are the Almighty
You reign in history
You are perfectly loving
You are extremely patient
You are infinitely wise
You are the most Powerful
You are the most Holy
You deserve our praises forever and ever
You are desperately longed
You are satisfying
You are real
You have defeated death, our greatest enemy
You are indescribable by mere words

Mighty is the Power of the Cross

What can take a dying man
and raise him up to life again?
What can heal a wounded soul?
What can make us as white as snow?
What can fill the emptiness?
What can mend our brokeness?

Mighty, awesome, wonderful
is the Holy cross
Where the lamb laid down his life
To lift us from the fall
Mighty is the power of the cross

What restores our faith in God?
What reveals the Father's love?
What can lead a wayward home?
What can melt a heart of stone?
What can free the guilty ones?
What can save and overcome?

It's a miracle to me, It's still a mystery
It's a miracle to me, The power of God
for those who believe

Do you hear my shout?

My hands reached out for you
Save me you ought
My tears were true
You are still near not

My comfort, my comfort will be you
please do not hide
My peace, my peace will be you
please be at my side

I know not the way
Only your hands lead
I am starting to sway
Only guide my feet

Lights grow dim
The oil is running out
Chances are slim
Do you hear my shout?

The Cloud is still thick

The cloud is still damn thick
I see no stars
Gloomy days making me sick
Bearing the scars

Chirping Tweeting I hear
Almost through the night
Lying awake with fear
Tomorrow is within sight

My heart pounds
Like hammer sounds
Calling and pleading the Divine
He said, all will be fine!

Oh my soul all will be fine!
After the clouds, you'll see sunshine
With all your heart, Wait!
He keeps what He said

Laugh Out Loud

Oh this one made me giggle and smile :)

BOY : May I hold your hand?
GIRL : No thanks, it isn't heavy.

GIRL : Say you love me! Say you love me!
BOY : You love me...

GIRL : If we become engaged will you give me a ring??
BOY : Sure, what's your phone number??

GIRL : I think the poorest people are the happiest.
BOY : Then marry me and we'll be the happiest couple

GIRL : Darling, I want to dance like this forever.
BOY : Don't you ever want to improve??

BOY : I love you and I could die for you!
GIRL : How soon??

BOY : I would go to the end of the world for you!
GIRL : Yes, but would you stay there??

SHARON : Have you ever had a hot passionate, burning kiss??
TRACY : I did once. He'd forgotten to take the cigarette out of his mouth.

MAN : You remind me of the sea. W
OMAN : Because I'm wild, romantic and exciting?
MAN : NO, because you make me sick.

WIFE : You tell a man something, it goes in one ear and comes out of the other.
HUSBAND : You tell a woman something: It goes in both ears and comes out of the mouth.

MARY : John says I'm pretty. Andy says I'm ugly. What do u think, Peter?
PETER : A bit of both. I think you're pretty ugly.

Girlfriend : "...And are you sure you love me and no one else ?"
Boyfriend : "Dead Sure! I checked the whole list again yesterday".

Teacher : "Which is more important to us, the sun or the moon?"
Pupil : "The moon".
Teacher : "Why?"
Pupil : "The moon gives us light at night when we need it but the sun gives us light only in the day time when we don't need it".

Teacher : "What do you call a person who keeps on talking when people are no longer interested?"
Pupil : "A teacher".

Waiter : "Would you like your coffee black?"
Customer : "What other colors do you have?"

My father is so old that when he was in school, history was called current affairs.

Teacher : "Sam, you talk a lot !"
Sam : "It's a family tradition".
Teacher : "What do you mean?"
Sam : "Sir, my grandpa was a street hawker, my father is a teacher".
Teacher : "What about your mother?"
Sam : "She's a woman".

Tom : "How should I convey the news to my father that I've failed?"
David: "You just send a telegram: Result declared, past year's performance repeated".

Teacher : "Now, children, if I saw a man beating a donkey and stopped him, what virtue would I be showing?"
Student : "Brotherly love".

Teacher : "Now, Sam, tell me frankly do you say prayers before eating?"
Sam : "No sir, I don't have to, my mom is a good cook".

Patient : "What are the chances of my recovering doctor?"
Doctor : "One hundred percent. Medical records show that nine out of ten people die of the disease you have. Yours is the tenth case I've treated. The others all died".

Teacher : " Can anybody give an example of COINCIDENCE?"
One Student : "Sir, my Mother and Father got married on the same day and at the same time."

Teacher : " George Washington not only chopped down his father's Cherry tree, but also admitted doing it. Now do you know why his father didn't punish him ?"
One Student: " Because George still had the axe in is hand."

Fail without Jesus

Today by the grace of God I was taught a few things. The lesson came from Jesus' disciples experience after the resurrection of Jesus (John 21:1-14). The passage tells us that the disciples went out fishing and they failed. Jesus asked them whether they had caught anything. Jesus' knowledge of the future enables him to know that the disciples would fail but He let it be. The failure was necessary to them to finally obey the instruction of a stranger (for they did not know it was Jesus). If Jesus would tell them where to throw the net before fishing, they might not listen to him because they are experienced fishermen. When they decided to take on board the suggestion, they finally harvested the fruits of the sea and recognized Jesus.

This event teaches us to be patient and take heart when we face failures. He knows it and He does not leave us alone. Instead, he is letting us know to only rely on Him and obey His voice then we will be successful. We, in our pride usually go ahead relying on our own ability and past experiences but this passage teaches us that we fail without Jesus eventhough we are experts.

It is actually easier for us to rely on Him because We just need to surrender our problems to Him knowing that He cares about us and are in control of all things instead of fighting and finding the solution on our own. However, the very fact of trusting in Him is also of our own choice and His grace. Hence, we do struggle in this. There are times we are burdened with excessive worries and fears to look beyond our failures even the future. Obeying His commands is also never easy because we are rebellious by nature. By God's grace and His mighty power, He will change these helpless and rebellious kids, He has unlimited patience (that's how Paul puts it), and above all continuously lavishing His grace and unconditional love that has ransomed us from fear (Bishop Les Mis.). O How I hunger for more of Him. Knowing Him will make you alive and desire it for more.
