In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For ev'ry sin on Him was laid—
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine—
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow'r of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand.

PS: Esther, Anne, fellow ocfers and tscf brethrens...this is our songs :))! I remember you all. Sweet Jesus. Sing it with all your might!

Refleksi

Belajar submit everything into the authority of Christ. Dia yang berkuasa atas segala keadaan, He will put me through all this. Sekalipun mungkin hati kebapaannya ndak tega melihat kita menderita , tetapi at the other end He can see something beautiful, bringing fruit of peace and righteousness for Lilis. That are far better for Lilis than what she had to go through.

Yesterday it was shared eloquently by kak David. Apakah si Bapa masih mengasihi anaknya yang sulung setelah mengetahui hal itu? now I get it.

Kasih manusia:

Jika kamu ... (rajin belajar, ndak nakal, bijaksana, cantik, langsing, posisi tinggi, kaya, populer, dll) maka Aku mengasihimu.

Kasih Tuhan:

Aku mengasihimu. Aku tetap mengasihimu, Lilis.

Tuhan begitu indah kasihMu. Indeed Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I love you too Lord! *tears*

From death into life

Open your eyes and see...the seed must die in order to blossom into flowers and bear fruit.

Today

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One of these days is Yesterday with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.

All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed; we cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone.

The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow with its possible adversaries, its burdens, its large promise and poor performance. Tomorrow is beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind the mask of clouds...but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.

This leaves only one day....Today. Any man can fight the battles of just one day, it is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities...Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of Today that drives men mad...it is remorse or bitterness for something which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.

Be still my soul

Be still my soul, The Lord is on thy side
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain
Leave to thy God to order and provide
In every change, he faithful will remain
Be still my soul, thy best, thy heavenly friend
through thorny ways leads to joyful end...

It is no secret

The chimes of time ring out the news,
Another day is through.
Someone slipped and fell,
Was that someone you?
You may have longed for added strength,
Your courage to renew,
Do not be disheartened,
For I have news for you!!

Chorus
It is no secret what God can do.
What He's done for others,
He'll do for you.
With arms wide open,
He'll pardon you.
It is no secret what God can do
.

There is no night for in His light
You'll never walk alone.
Always feel at home
Wherever you may roam.
There is no power can conquer you
While God is on your side
Take Him at His promise,
Don't run away and hide.

Chorus
It is no secret what God can do.
What He's done for others,
He'll do for you.
With arms wide open,
He'll pardon you.
It is no secret what God can do.

Heresy

Just how prone are we all to be heretics? An old proverb says,

"Beware thou take not one thing after thy affection and liking, and leave another: for that is the condition of an heretique. But take everything with other."

Tozer Devotional on putting up with the weaknesses of others

The Apostle Paul wrote, "We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves" (Romans 15:1). He thus plainly accepts the fact that there will be infirm persons among the believing members of the spiritual community we call the local church. He tells us to bear them, or bear with them in their weakness.

Now who are the infirm persons in the church? How can we identify them? Not how can we find them, for they are sure to be easiest of all persons to find. Their very infirmities make them conspicuous. The infirm brother is the one who has painful conscientious scruples about foods (Romans 14:1-2); or he has deep convictions about certain holy days (Romans 14:5-6); or his grasp of gospel truth is weak, and he is forced to support himself by various crutches which he may have found in some religious attic. To him these scruples are sacred; consequently, he is likely to try to force them upon everyone else, and in doing so he is pretty sure to make very much of a nuisance of himself. That is where the "strong" Christian gets opportunity to give his patience a workout. He dare not dismiss the overheated brother; he must bear with him in love, knowing that he too is of the company of the redeemed.

God's Love

Grace for the Moment: Volume 2 by Max Lucado

“God is love.”
I John 4:16

The supreme surprise of God’s love? It has nothing to do with you. Others love you because of you, because your dimples dip when you smile or your rhetoric charms when you flirt. Some people love you because of you. Not God. He loves you because he is he. He loves you because he decides to. Self-generated, uncaused, and spontaneous, his constant–level love depends on his choice to give it. “The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the Lord loved you” (Deut. 7:7-8 NIV).

You don’t influence God’s love. You can’t impact the treeness of a tree, the skyness of the sky, or the rockness of a rock. Nor can you affect the love of God.
